Eloquii - new plus size line from The Limited

The Limited has finally come out with their own plus size line called Eloquii.

As far as I can tell, the line consists of career separates + some trendier pieces. As with most plus size lines, it’s only available online (boo).

Here are some of my favorites:

Tie Waist Batwing Dress

Leopard Print Batwing Sleeve Top

Chiffon Ruffle Front Shirt (I prefer the Okra Green color)

Ostrich Feather Clutch #luxury

Crew Neck Button Up Cardigan

And you can never, ever have enough well-made cardigans. I have infinity cardigans in my closet already but, you know, not enough.

Wet Seal Plus?

I learned today that Wet Seal has a juniors Plus sizes available (yay) online only* (barf). However, I would like to call your attention to the phuckery that is this pair of shorts:

Now that I take a further look [editor’s note: yes, I compose on the fly] there is a tremendous amount of phuckery happening on their site. Only cute items:

Denim Belted Dress
Plaid Belted Tube Dress [why you gotta attach the belt, Wet Seal?]
Pull On Knit Skirt [surprisingly versatile almost-staple in fun colors]

I don’t know if I’m an old lady now (certainly compared to the target Wet Seal demographic), but man these clothes look cheap. When I was in High School, Wet Seal seemed like a cool place to get clothes, but I never could fit into their size options at the time (though I did like to buy magazines and jewelry there). This post goes out to the 16-year-old me who would’ve liked very much to dress up in cheap-looking clothing.

*some styles are available in-store, but maybe returns are online only? Anyone know?

I’ve heard terrible - and I do mean HORRIBLE - things about Forever21, so was less-than-enthused when they started up Forever21+. I appreciate that young fatshionable ladies have another place to shop, but don’t know that my 31 y.o. ass would fit in any of it.

How do the sizes run at Forever21+? Does anyone know? I’m reticent to make an order online without some idea (and yes, of course I read the size chart - but they are not always the most accurate).

Holler if you know.

A Rule to Break

My favorite fatshion rule to break is horizontal stripes. I love to wear them and always give fatshionable strangers an air-high-five (see also: internal kudos) when I see them breaking the rule that tries to divide abbondamsels (and abbongents) from striped clothing.
